Meet The Team
Hannah Flanagan brings a depth of experience in support of VMA’s education clients. As an education advocate, Hannah has been deeply involved in the Bellflower Unified School District, where she served on the Board of Education. Past roles include PTA President, chairperson of the Citizens Oversight Committee for a bond measure and legislation director for the Bellflower Council of Parents and Teachers Associations. These experiences have provided unique insights into school operations and community communication needs.
In addition to education, Hannah has worked on a variety of other VMA projects, from California High- Speed Rail alignment definition and Environmental Justice outreach efforts, to promoting older adult wellness programs for Beach Cities Health District. She has developed and implemented strategic community outreach programs that included multi-tiered communications tactics, such as media relations, interagency coordination, collateral development, social media, web-based outreach and community open houses, where complex programs and processes were explained through story boards, video and graphic illustrations to diverse communities in several languages.
Hannah graduated summa cum laude from Cal State University Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and a minor in law and society. Her extensive coursework in criminal justice and public institutions, coupled with training in Title VI and environmental justice compliance provide a solid foundation for working with diverse populations throughout Southern California.Send Hannah an Email
