Katie Emerson, a public relations professional with experience in research, marketing, and media relations, joined VMA Communications in June 2022 as a member of the education team to focus on outreach, media relations, and content creation for school district clients.
Katie graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Public Relations that enhanced her writing and interpersonal skills. Her time studying abroad in Florence, Italy and traveling throughout Europe and the UAE helped broaden her worldview and provided unique experience in multicultural settings. After returning from Italy, she worked at Pepperdine’s International Programs office, where she assisted students during the admissions process.
In her free time, Katie enjoys playing the piano and playing tennis with her friends.
